Anne Curtis and Angel Locsin nearing P1 million target through Shop and Share

Ang young actress na si Anne Curtis ang naging ka-partner ni Angel Locsin nang maisipan ng huli na buuin ang Shop and Share auction na makikita sa eBay.ph. Sinimulan nila ito noong halos kasagsagan pa ng bagyong Ondoy at Pepeng at ngayon, ika-third batch na raw itong pagri-release nila ng mga items in cooperation with the Philippine Red Cross. Isa sa mga items ay galing kay Manny Pacquiao.



Kagabi, sa launching ng Shop and Share sa 4th floor ng Gateway Mall, naikuwento ni Anne kung paano nagsimula ang worthy cause na ito.



"Actually, for a while kasi, hindi namin plano to go super multimedia about it. Parang okey na kami by word ng Twitter namin or mga Facebook, mga ganyan. Makapag-guest kami kung saan-saan basta ma-announce lang. Sobrang okey na kami ru'n.



"And then, yung eBay nilapitan namin kasi medyo nahirapan na kami sa listing, kasi napaka-specific nila. Tapos yun, na-approach naman namin, may letter ng Red Cross, so tumulong pa sila."



ANGEL'S INSPIRED IDEA. It was really Angel who thought of Shop and Share first.



"Si Angel ang tumawag sa akin. Tapos, tinanong niya ako kung gusto ko raw ba yung mga auction-auction ng bags. Siyempre, gusto ko 'yan, forte ko 'yan, e," natatawang sabi ni Anne. "Tapos yun na, after, super nag-brainstorming na kami kila Ate Kris [Aquino] kung paano namin gagawin.



"Then, yun nga, online ang napagdesisyunan namin. Si Ate Kris ang nag-suggest na online bidding na lang."



Masayang-masaya sila sa naging turnout ng ginawa nila.



"It really, really worked out in a way na parang people not only give their help, meron pa silang gamit na in good condition pa."



Ayon kay Anne, $15,000 na ang inaabot ng sales nila at may mga pending items pa na isusubasta. Target daw sana nilang kitain through their fundraising campaign ay one million pesos.



Itutuloy-tuloy na ba nila ang pag-o-auction ng mga celebrity items sa eBay?



"Well, only until we have certain items siguro. Pero, after nu'n, wala na. Basta for the love of na lang... sana next year maulit. Sana not because [of] another typhoon but merely because makatulong na lang."



Nakapag-bond nang husto ang dalawang pasimuno ng fundraising activity dahil inaabot minsan ng 4:30 a.m. sina Angel at Anne sa pag-aasikaso nito.



FRIENDS WITH SAM. Ibinalita ni Anne na sisimulan na raw ang pelikula nila ni Sam Milby under Star Cinema na ang Maybe It's You, at sa TV naman ay uumpisahan sa January ang taping ng bago nilang soap opera.



Balik-tambalan na sila ni Sam sa telebisyon at pelikula. Balik-tambalan na rin ba in real life?



"Talagang napunta tayo ru'n 'no?" natatawang sabi ng aktres. "Basta as of now, we'll just see kung saan mapunta. As of now, happy naman kami. We're just enjoying at hindi namin minamadali talaga.



"Admittedly, sinabi naman namin na we're not closing our doors, di ba? At saka, ang tagal din... almost one year na hindi kami... I mean, huwag naman nating madaliin. Maganda na yun para hindi magkamali ulit."



Shortly after her car accident, bumalik sila sa pagiging okey ni Sam. Nakakalabas at nakakapagtawagan na sila.



"I think, ang maganda lang, at least ngayon, hindi na kami yung, o, basta free day, tayo lang dalawa ang magkasama. Meron na kaming... meron pa rin akong life."



Wala raw siyang ibang dine-date kaya masasabi bang exclusively dating na sila ni Sam?



"Yeah, dating in a way, pero, hindi yung exclusively dating. I mean, we'll see where it goes. Hindi yung parang in-a-relationship dating."



So puwede pa siyang makipag-date with other guys?



"Well, alam mo, if you really think about it, puwede, e. But I'd rather not."



TAKING THINGS SLOWLY. Hindi itinanggi ni Anne that there was a time that she was exclusively a non-showbiz guy.



"Totoo yun... totoo yun. I was exclusively dating na at yun ang exclusively dating!" pagbibigay-diin niya.



Pero wala na raw ngayon yun. We asked her kung posibleng nagselos si Sam sa guy na ito, at napag-isip siya, kaya ngayon ay okey na uli sila ni Anne?



"Ows, totoo?" nakangiting sabi ng dalaga. "E, palagi niya ngang sinasabi that I'm happy for you. Si Sam naman, na-meet niya lang ang guy, pero hindi naman niya ka-close. Si Sam naman, sa tingin ko, mukha namang happy siya for me at that time. Siguro rin kasi at that time, nilagyan ko rin ng wall ang self ko na parang hanggang ganun lang."



Ngayon ba, masaya siya that obviously they are together again—kahit ayaw pa niyang bigyan ng label ito?



"Of course, I'm happy," nakangiti niyang sabi. "But yun lang muna... let's take it slowly."

Angel Locsin, Kris Aquino and friends launches Shop & Share Web site

(Story Update): Kim Chiu, Gerald Anderson, Piolo Pascual, Richard Gutierrez, KC Concepcion, Dingdong Dantes, Lucky Manzano and many more have contributed to the project.

A Web site that aims to help typhoon victims was recently launched by Filipino celebrities. Spearheaded by Angel Locsin, the site contains items belonging to Filipino celebrities like Anne Curtis, Dimples Romana, and Kris Aquino.

Visiting Shop & Share (http://shopandshare.ph) showcases bags owned by the mentioned celebrities.

Going through the site, I found a Hermes Kelly Bag owned by Angel, a Burberry Bag belonging to Anne, Louis Vuitton Shoes from Pokwang and a Louis Vuitton Bag owned by Kris Aquino.

The welcome page message indicates:

Five days after typhoon "Ondoy" left the Philippines with a death toll in the hundreds, people displaced from their homes in the hundreds of thousands and damage to property in the hundred millions, once again, another typhoon "Pepeng" hits the northern Luzon area. This time, not only hundreds of thousands of Filipinos were displaced, but crops valued in the billions were lost. Roads were impassable and landslildes killed hundreds. This situation is one of the saddest that we as a nation have ever experienced.

In this dire time of need, we would like to be of service to the Filipino people by auctioning some of our possessions to help the people whose lives were affected by "Pepeng". 100 percent of the proceeds will be used to help the "Pepeng" typhoon victims.

Be a part of this auction. Be a part of this cause. Let us help rebuild lives.

Celebrities like Heart Evangelista, Sam Milby and Ruffa Guitierrez also committed to support the project by donating some of their treasured belongings. Angel and the other stars are going house to house to invite other celebrities to join the project.

The site also invites people to make small contributions by donating through the Philippine Red Cross Paypal account. The full proceeds of the project will all go to the people who were affected by the typhoons.

I want to say that this is a project worth supporting--stars coming together to do their part in rebuilding our nation. Now, who says celebrities are just celebrities?
