Angel Locsin

Angel Locsin (born on April 23, 1985), is a popular television and film actress, commercial model, film producer and fashion designer in the Philippines who was introduced in GMA Network's youth-oriented program, Click. Locsin rose to prominence after being cast as one of the lead stars in the fantasy-themed television series Mulawin in 2004. Soon after, she starred as the superheroine Darna in the TV adaptation of the popular Mars Ravelo comics hit.Locsin top-billed in several films and is known as the screen love interest of Richard Gutierrez and Dennis Trillo. When her contract expired last March 2007, Angel did not renew her contract to her mother studio, GMA Network and signed an exclusive contract in ABS-CBN despite her booming career in GMA. According to her its just a career move. She is now the lead star in the most awaited soap opera of ABS-CBN, Lobo where she paired to Piolo Pascual. Angel was recently awarded in Yes Magazine as the Most Beautiful Woman in the Philppines. She was also awarded in 38 Box Office Entertainment Awards as the Princess of Philippine Movies.Locsin is one of the most famous product endorser in the Philippines. She was first shown with her TV Ad in Axe in 2004. She received many commercial offers when she starred in Darna in 2005 which received 52.1%,the highest rating in the Philippines TV history. Since then Locsin became one of the most famous TV Ad model and endorser among of her numerous TV Ads of Robitussin, Eskinol, Happee Toothpaste, Mcdonalds, Head & Shoulders, San Mig Coffee, Smart Communications, Avon, Centrum, Magnolia Health Tea, Avon Wish of Happiness and McDonalds Summer Colors of Love.She is also an official image endorser of Jag Skinny Jeans, Calayan, W.L Foods, AB Spire Notebooks, Priston Netplay, Belo Medical Group, Lotus Ballpen, Converse Shoes and Timex Watches. In 2007, Locsin was also chosen to endorse candidates for Senator such as Sen.Manny Villar and Koko Pimentel also for the Gabriela Partylist. As a result, She rank as the third top product endorser in the Philippines.Locsin is a favorite covergirl of magazines in the Philippines. In 2003, she posed in FHM Philippines and two times in 2005 where she was awarded as the sexiest woman in the Philippines ranking no.1 spot. Locsin recently pose in Cosmopolitan Magazine wearing a very sexy bikini swimsuit and she also posed in the latest issue of Manual Magazine. Locsin is also a regular covergirl of Sense & Style, Chalk, Yes Magazine and Starstudio.Locsin had her fair share of controversy after appearing in a TV ad for Axe. Many feminist groups, as well as former Senator Nikki Coseteng, complained about the offensive gestures in the advertisement. In the television commercial, Angel is teasing a man by showing off money and her body, but the man approaches Angel and takes only her money. Because of these complaints, Unilever pulled out the commercial.Locsin had an alledge video sex scandal. The video was being sold in a pirated DVD. After a while, they figured out that the woman in the video was a pornstar from Thailand "Natt Chanapa" who looked just like her.
